PUNTO 48 is devoted to top down knitting. With this technique you start the garment at the top and work downwards, using raglan shaping for the yoke. When the yoke is complete, you divide the stitches and continue working the sleeves and the body separately. Top Down knitting is a good option if you'd rather avoid seaming - because you are working in the round, there is very little finishing to do! Another benefit is being able to fit and adjust the length of the the garment as you go along.
